You know the saying, if life gives you lemons, make lemonade! Don't you just sometimes feel you are tired of making lemonade? The hard truth is; lemons are
the reality of our lives. Especially during this lockdown, many are confronted with their innermost darkness... When we deny the lemeons, we are actually wearing masks and this denial or blindness prevent us from growing!
Yes, sometimes we get disheartened, sometimes we feel the road is too hard to walk, sometimes we feel like turning around. I for one felt that I don't even want to climb this mountain in front of me, out of fear that if I come to the end, an even bigger mountain will be waiting for me! Luke 9:62 says: "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."
When we prevail, we get small victories and blessings. I was reminded of this when my husband blessed me with a cosmos flower out of our garden!! In all unlikelihood, this seed survived! With lockdown, no gardner to mistake the seedling as weeds to be plucked out, brought forth a flower!
Let us be encouraged to keep on fighting the good fight. Our character is so much more important to God than our comfort! When we face challenges, our spiritual capacity broaden and we mature.
Hebrews 12:1 "...let us lay aside every weight, and sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us"
1 Corinthians 9:24 "Do you not know that those who run a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it."
